WHO OWNS THE DESIGNS ONCE PRODUCED? 

Canvas & Kale retains all rights to the designs that are created. Canvas & Kale retains all copyrights to our work. Customers/Clients are not permitted to reproduce our designs in any way, for any purpose.

I RECEIVED ENVELOPES WITH THE ADDRESSES INCORRECTLY PRINTED OR HANDWRITTEN. WHAT DO I DO? 

Erroneous envelopes at fault of Canvas & Kale (actual spelling errors or missed addresses) will be mailed at no cost within 1-3 business days. Last minute additions or spelling errors on your list may be replaced at cost + a $20 late set-up fee. 

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO I CAN VISIT?

Canvas & Kale is operated out of my home, so I don't have a designated meeting space, however, if you are local to Boston, Massachusetts area I'd love to meet up for coffee and discuss your project!

DO YOU OFFER PRINTABLE VERSIONS OF YOUR DESIGNS?

Yes, please contact me with your desired timeline if you are interested in purchasing custom digital designs. I will respond with my availability and a quote to begin the process.

DO you offer refunds?

Due to the handwritten quality of all our work, we do not offer refunds on any custom, hand written orders. With hand lettering, it is common for there to be variances in the spacing, size and style of letters. Calligraphy is an art and no two handwritten pieces can be identical. All work is done by hand. There may be slight variations in color, size, style, centering, spacing, and margins through out the order. Ink colors may vary and may not match the printed script exactly. Canvas & Kale will attempt to correct all problems without needing to use additional envelopes. Corrections due to personal preference of specific letters or spacing will be made at the expense of the client. All sales are final.

when do I need to submit my address list to you?

All lists must be submitted before work will begin. Lists must be submitted in the exact format the client would prefer them written so please thoroughly check your list. (Inner and Outer envelopes should have separate lists)

Why do i need to supply you with extra envelopes and materials?

Errors are inevitable with hand-written work! Please be sure to include 15% additional envelopes with your order. Please include more if you are having a rush order. For orders of 100 or less envelopes a minimum of 15 additional envelopes are required to complete your order. This is an industry standard. A good rule of thumb is to just order an additional 25 envelopes with your order. The cost is typically nominal and that will ensure plenty of room for error. Failure to provide an adequate amount of additional envelopes may result in delays to your order. We do not count your envelopes in advance and rely on our clients to provide an adequate number of extra envelopes.

do you do rush orders?

Our standard turn around time is 6-8 weeks. A rush order is any order requiring completion in less time than this 6-8 week window. Rush orders are not actually rushed, they are simply orders that are added to the schedule outside of normal business hours, and for this reason there is typically 50% up charge for the rush service. We do not offer refunds on rush charges.

do you share your work on social media?

Canvas & Kale may post photos at its discretion of daily work on social media platforms. Client/guest personal information will not be shared & any items showing specific details {i.e. an actual save-the-date or invitation} will not be shared until after the event date.
